PhotoAcoustic Technology Pulse® by RevLite®

RevLite® features a unique technology that sets it apart from standard lasers on the market. Most aesthetic lasers use longer pulses, subjecting the skin to excessive and potentially harmful heat. The RevLite’s EO Q-switched engineering produces very rapid, short pulse widths of energy, limiting the healthy tissue’s exposure to thermal build-up and offering safe, fast and effective treatment. This technology, pioneered by ConBio, produces a PhotoAcoustic action to target the molecule versus a photothermal action delivered by other lasers. With the advent of the PhotoAcoustic Technology Pulse® by RevLite®, which is characterized by a unique dispersion of maximum energy, physicians can harness very narrow pulse widths at peak energy with up to 60 percent more power than previous ConBio lasers. Physicians report that the RevLite® technology is especially effective in producing a superior “PhotoAcoustic rejuvenation” effect, resulting in a more refreshed appearance, even skin tone, smoother texture, tightening and decreased pore size.

Flat-Top Beam Profile

ConBio was the first company in the aesthetic laser market to create a truly homogenous flat-top beam profile for a Q-Switched Nd:YAG laser. The secret is in high-quality components – a carefully selected array of superior elements simply not found with inferior Q-Switched Nd:YAG lasers that try to copy our technology.

The RevLite beam is smooth and evenly calibrated, without "hot spots" or uneven spikes of energy typical in other lasers. As a result, the energy is delivered evenly from the perimeter to the center of the beam with no vacuoles or dead areas. This homogenous profile allows more efficient delivery of the energy – and more pronounced tissue reaction under the dermis to better fragment the target chromophores.

The ultimate proof of a genuine flat-top beam profile is in the tissue reaction –consistent results, less complications and no patient downtime. Standard Gaussian beam profiles of other lasers tend to scatter on the skin's surface requiring more shots to fragment the target chromophores causing unnecessary damage to the epidermis. The RevLite delivers long-term, consistent flat-top capability, even after the laser is operated for long periods of time. The stabilized and consistent temperature of our lasers optimizes the output of the homogeneous beam.

The ConBio engineering team has the longest history in manufacturing a flat-top beam – and they conduct ongoing improvement analysis and evaluation to ensure we meet practitioner expectations of safety, reliability and superior performance.

RevLite® FDA-Cleared Indications

Benefits of the RevLite® EO Q-Switched Laser

The RevLite® EO Q-switched Nd: YAG laser is built on the same reliable foundation as the popular MedLite® series of lasers, known as the “workhorses” of the aesthetic industry for almost two decades.

Functionality

RevLite® is our first laser to feature PhotoAcoustic Technology Pulse®, a sophisticated feature that enables physicians to provide excellent results in treatment of overall skin rejuvenation, tattoo removal and other procedures. PhotoAcoustic Technology Pulse® is a unique dispersion of maximum energy output, using up to 60 percent more power than our previous laser technologies, with the same degree of patient safety and comfort. The RevLite® also delivers higher energy output at all spot sizes, including six- and eight-millimeter. Larger spot sizes provide deeper penetration and improved removal of inks and dermal nevus. By penetrating more deeply and covering more surface area, the RevLite® laser potentially requires fewer appointments to achieve superior results.

Versatility

This multi-purpose laser provides industry-leading treatments for skin resurfacing (including wrinkle reduction and acne scar treatment), multi-color tattoo removal, vascular, dermal and epidermal pigmented lesion removal — for all skin types.

With the use of MultiLite Dye Laser Handpieces, the polymer rods convert the RevLite® laser's 532 nm wavelength to both 585 nm and 650 nm. Added to the 1064 nm, this creates a total of four wavelengths for a wide variety of procedures. The versatility of multiple wavelengths provides aesthetic physicians with a cost-efficient tool to expand their services and meet a wide spectrum of patient needs, reliably and safely.

Reliability

The groundbreaking laser technology used by the RevLite® laser is built on a foundation of quality, reliability, and engineering expertise that have earned ConBio lasers the reputation as “workhorses” of the aesthetic laser industry. For more than 25 years, ConBio has been a global leader in aesthetic lasers and their systems are respected worldwide by luminary physicians.

Multiple language screens are available (English, French, German, Spanish and Italian).

Nd:YAG Crystal

The backbone of the RevLite® laser is the Nd:YAG crystal, a solid-state material which has been used for years in scientific and aesthetic communities. The RevLite® laser also has the benefit of being EO Q-switched with PhotoAcoustic Technology Pulse® technology.

EO Q-Switched

By storing energy between pulses, an EO (electro-optic) Q-switched laser is able to achieve a shorter output pulse. The Q-switch acts as a high-speed shutter, allowing the RevLite® laser to produce peak power output of 200 megawatts in a 5 – 20 ns pulse width. This creates a PhotoAcoustic effect, delivering peak energy with such force that the target molecule vibrates and shatters. The energy is delivered throughout the epidermis faster than the normal relaxation time of healthy tissue. As a result, this technology enhances safety and eliminates the need for skin cooling or any concern for scarring typical to long pulse IPLs or longer pulse Alexandrite lasers that have a high rate of hypopigmentation and hyperpigmentation. ConBio EO Q-switched lasers are still small enough to be easily stored.

MultiLite Dye Laser Handpieces for Four Wavelengths

The ConBio MultiLite dye-impregnated polymer rod handpieces are used with the RevLite® laser to convert the 532 nm wavelength to either 585 nm or 650 nm, providing the physician with four wavelengths and expanded treatment options for patients. These wavelengths are valuable for multi-color tattoo removal: the 585 nm wavelength removes sky blue and some yellow tattoo inks while the 650 nm wavelength removes green inks.
